Riyadh — Mubasher: Saudi Printing and Packaging Company announced the sale of production lines for polypropylene cups and plastic packaging at its UAE-based subsidiary, Commercial United Packaging Company (CUPCO).
The assets were sold to Al Aamal Al Dhahabiya General Trading Company for a total consideration of AED 1.10 million, equivalent to approximately SAR 1.12 million, according to a bourse filing.
Proceeds from the sale will be utilized to fund the group's operational activities.
Meanwhile, the transaction was concluded on 15 October 2026, aligning with Saudi Printing’s strategic plan that was approved on 18 August 2025 to focus on exiting non-core assets.
The Saudi listed company further stated that the divestment aims to mitigate the impact of regulatory pressures on single-use plastics and improve liquidity.
As of 30 September 2026, the net book value of the assets stood at AED 6 million (SAR 6.10 million).
Consequently, Saudi Printing expects to recognize a non-cash loss of approximately AED 4.90 million (SAR 5 million) in its financial statements for the current period.
The subsidiary is fully owned by the company through Emirates National Factory for Plastic Industries.
